  10. Senior Pilot Wings (USA)

    Criteria: Awarded after active participation in 6 operations;

    And, qualifying in at least 1 other aircraft;

    And, qualifying as a Flight Lead.

    Nomination: Squadron Commander, or above. 

    Approval: Group Commander

  11. Pilot Wings Silver (GAF)

    Criteria: Awarded after active participation in 6 operations;

    And, qualifying in at least 1 other aircraft;

    And, qualifying as a Flight Lead.

    Nomination: Squadron Commander, or above.

  12. Command Pilot Wings (USAF)

    Criteria: Must have earned the Senior Wings prior;

    And, active participation in 10 operations;

    And, qualifying in at least 3 other aircraft;

    And, serving or have served as an Instructor Pilot;

    And, completing MQT Level 4, 4-ship Flight Lead.

    Or, after active participation in 20 operations.

    Or, qualifying in at least 6 other aircraft.

    Or, after serving as an Instructor Pilot for 2 consecutive years. 

    Nomination: Squadron Commander, or above. 

    Approval: Task Force Commander.

  13. Master Pilot Wings (USA)

    Criteria: Must have earned the Senior Wings prior;

    And, active participation in 10 operations;

    And, qualifying in at least 3 other aircraft;

    And, serving or have served as an Instructor Pilot.

    Or, after active participation in 20 operations.

    Or, qualifying in at least 6 other aircraft.

    Or, after serving as an Instructor Pilot for 1 consecutive year. 

    Nomination: Squadron Commander, or above. 

    Approval: Task Force Commander.

  14. Pilot Wings Gold (GAF)

    Criteria: Must have earned the Senior Wings prior;

    And, active participation in 10 operations;

    And, qualifying in at least 3 other aircraft;

    And, serving or have served as an Instructor Pilot.

    Or, after active participation in 20 operations.

    Or, qualifying in at least 6 other aircraft.

    Or, after serving as an Instructor Pilot for 1 consecutive year. 

    Nomination: Squadron Commander, or above. 

    Approval: Task Force Commander.

    Criteria: Awarded for bringing in 3 new members; and of those 3 members, 3 BFQ's completed.

  2. Instructor Ribbon

    Criteria: Awarded for becoming an Instructor Pilot.

  3. Longevity Service Ribbon

    Criteria: Awarded for 12 consecutive months of active service in JTF-13.  

    Oak Leaf Cluster authorized for each subsequent 12 months.

  4. Squadron of the Year Ribbon

    Criteria: Awarded to the Squadron of the Year. 

    Oak Leaf Cluster authorized for each subsequent award. 

    Nomination: Wing Commander. 

    Approval: Vote on by Senior Command Staff, and awarded by the Task Force Commander

  5. Board of Directors Ribbon

    Criteria: Awarded to members after having served one cumulative year on the JTF-13 Board of Directors.. 

    Silver Star device authorized for each subsequent award. 

    Nomination: Any member

    Approval: JTF-13 Commander

  6. First Responders Service Medal

    Criteria: Awarded to members that have served, in real life, as a civilian first responder. (Police, Fire, Paramedics, EMS). 

    Additional devices not authorized. 

    Nomination: Squadron Commander

    Approval: Wing Commander

  7. Armed Forces Service Medal

    Criteria: Awarded to members that have served, in real life, in their nations Armed Forces. 

    Additional devices not authorized.

  8. Aircraft Qualification Medal

    Criteria: Awarded to any member who has completed BFQ in a second aircraft. 

    Bronze Star device authorized for each subsequent aircraft BFQ completed.

  9. Achievement Medal

    Criteria: Awarded to any member who has rendered distinguished service, less than that required for the Meritorious Service Medal.

  10. Joint Service Achievement Medal

    Criteria: Awarded to members after serving 12 consecutive months in an administrative position.

    Criteria: Awarded to any member for participating in 5 operations.

    Criteria: Awarded to members after serving 12 consecutive months in a Squadron or higher Command position.

  13. Meritorious Service Medal

    Criteria: Awarded to members who have rendered distinguished meritorious service, more than that required for the Achievement Medal, and less than that required for the Distinguished Service Medal.

  14. 8th Fighter Wing Pilot of the Year Medal

    Criteria: Awarded to the 8th Fighter Wing Pilot of the year.

    Approval: Voted on by all JTF-13 members, and awarded by the Task Force Commander.

  15. CVW-17 Pilot of the Year Medal

    Criteria: Awarded to the CVW-17 Pilot of the year.  

    Oak Leaf Cluster device authorized for each subsequent award. 

    Nomination: May be nominated by any member. 

    Approval: Voted on by all JTF-13 members, and awarded by the Task Force Commander.

  16. Instructor Pilot of the Year Medal

    Criteria: Awarded to the Instructor Pilot of the year.  

    Oak Leaf Cluster device authorized for each subsequent award. 

    Nomination: May be nominated by any member. 

    Approval: Voted on by all JTF-13 members, and awarded by the Task Force Commander.

  17. Commander of the Year Medal

    Criteria: Awarded to the Commander of the year.

    Approval: Voted on by all JTF-13 members, and awarded by the Task Force Commander.

  18. Member of the Year Medal

    Discontinued: Replaced by the "CAPT James "Shodan" McLeod Member of the Year Medal"

  19. CAPT James "Shodan" McLeod Member of the Year Medal

    Criteria: Awarded to the member of the year. (2021 and later)  

    Recognizing that his accolades stretch from our inception to the horizon going forward, on behalf of JTF-13 leadership to perpetually issue the “Member of the Year” award to James | "Shodan". Because of his great contribution, and the immense shoes to fill, we have officially renamed this award to the:

    CAPT James "Shodan" McLeod Member of the Year Award

    In essence we are retiring Shodan's jersey and naming this award after him to perpetually honor his contributions going forward. When voting for Member of the Year, consider what James | "Shodan" has done for the group and use that as your standard candle. Thank you again James | "Shodan" for everything you have done for us, you make this organization’s success possible!

    Gold Star device authorized for each subsequent award. 

    Nomination: May be nominated by any member. 

    Approval: Voted on by all JTF-13 members, and awarded by the Task Force Commander.

  20. Air Medal

    Subjective Criteria: Awarded to any member for extraordinary performance in flight-related duties while in a combat zone.

    May be awarded with a combat “V” for Valor for an act of meritorious action or bravery against an armed enemy less that the criteria for the Distinguished Flying Cross.  

    Objective Criteria:
    Air-to-Air Kills: 50 in a single operation;
    Air-to-Ground Kills: 75 in a single operation;
    AG/AA Kills: 75 @2/1 G/A ratio in a single operation.

    Nomination: Squadron level or above.

  21. Bronze Star

    Subjective Criteria: Awarded to the most lethal Air-to-Ground pilot in the Task Force during an operation. 

    Minimum Criteria: Must have at least 75 Air-to-Ground Kills in a single operation;

    Oak Leaf Cluster device authorized for each subsequent award.

  22. Silver Star

    Criteria: Awarded to the most lethal Air-to-Air pilot in the Task Force during an operation.

    Minimum Criteria: Must have at least 50 Air-to-Air Kills in a single operation;

    Oak Leaf Cluster device authorized for each subsequent award.

  23. Distinguished Service Medal

    Criteria: Awarded to members who have rendered distinguished meritorious service in a position of enormous responsibility, more than that required for the Meritorious Service Medal.

    Approval: Task Force Commander

  24. Distinguished Flying Cross

    Criteria: Awarded to the highest scoring pilot in the Task Force during an operation. 

    Minimum Criteria:
    Air-to-Air Kills: 50 in a single operation;
    Air-to-Ground Kills: 75 in a single operation;
    AG/AA Kills: 75 @2/1 G/A ratio in a single operation.

  25. JTF-13 Combat Cross

    Criteria: Awarded to a member who distinguishes himself by a single extraordinary action while engaged in combat operations against the enemy.

    Criteria: Awarded to a member upon taking Command of a Battalion or a Brigade.

    Criteria: Awarded to a member upon taking Command of a Squadron or Wing.

    Criteria: Awarded to a member upon taking Command of a Squadron Wing.

  4. Commanders Badge (USN)

    Criteria: Awarded to a member upon taking Command of a Squadron Wing.

  5. Chief of Staff Badge

    Criteria: Awarded to members upon appointment to Chief of Senior Command Staff.

  1. Immanent Sword Campaign Ribbon

    Criteria: Awarded to members who participated in the following Operations during the Immanent Sword Campaign:

    1) Operation: Trident during the dates of 07 April 2023 thru 10 April 2023. 
    2) Operation: Climax during the dates of 08 September 2023 thru 11 September 2023.
